World Oral Health Day is observed on March 20th every year to raise awareness of the importance of oral health and its impact on overall health and well-being.

The day is organized by the FDI World Dental Federation, which is the largest global organization representing the dental profession.

Tips by Dr. Of Public Health

The aim of World Oral Health Day is to encourage people to take care of their oral health and to promote healthy habits such as brushing teeth twice a day, flossing, and visiting the dentist regularly. The day also highlights the importance of good oral hygiene in preventing gum disease, tooth decay, and other dental problems.

Each year, World Oral Health Day has a different theme, and activities are organized around the world to raise awareness of the theme. The theme for World Oral Health Day 2023 is "Be Proud of Your Mouth," which aims to empower people to take ownership of their oral health and to feel proud of their smiles.

The day is an opportunity for dentists, oral health professionals, and organizations to work together to promote oral health and to advocate for policies that support access to oral health care services for all.
